I am deeply skeptical about most beauty products and have only found a handful that truly work for my fair, dry, middle-aged skin. So when BB creams first hit the market, I thought they were just a gimmick. Then my dermatologist gave me this BB cream as a freebie, because she wanted me to get serious about wearing sunscreen. I took it home and tried it. Lo and behold, it evened out my skin tone and even gave it a little hint of sheer color. It’s not foundation, mind you, so don’t expect it to cover up like one. But if you want to put something on your skin to jazz it up a little before you dash out the door in the morning, I like this a lot. Plus it gets me to wear sunscreen since it’s SPF 20.
One note: it is a teeny bit on the shiny side. Mostly I just go with that. But if I want a more matte look, I dab on blotting paper.
